We are Ahwatukee's only neighborhood wine bar and restaurant with retail. Our goal is to consistently provide a wide selection of boutique wines and craft beers(over 30 available by the glass) that pair well with cuisine made from the finest and freshest ingredients - all of this in a casual setting with attentive service. Chef Sarah Crain began her culinary journey almost a decade ago with her education at Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Upon graduating with a Le Cordon Bleu certification, she made the trip from Arizona to New York to work at two of the finest restaurants in the country: Aureole, under the tutelage of Chef Dante Boccuzzi & Chef Charlie Palmer, and Aquavit, under the unique and creative Chef Nils Noren & Chef Marcus Samuelsson.
Chef Sarah returned to her native Arizona in 2006 and found herself with a job at the Royal Palms Resort & Spa. At the Royal Palms Sarah worked her way from line cook to Executive Sous Chef, where she was fortunate to work with and learn from the extremely talented Executive Chef Lee Hillson. Anxious to spread her wings, Chef Sarah happily accepted the position of Executive Chef and found a new home with My Wine Cellar in December of 2011 and is excited to continue to grow in her career and share her globally inspired cuisine.
When Chef Sarah isn’t working at My Wine Cellar or coming up with new and delicious dishes, you will find her busy renovating her home with her high school sweetheart Adam and their two Chihuahuas, Zeus and Heidi Klum, traveling when she is able, reading Jane Austen & mystery novels (and of course cookbooks!) and spending as much time as possible with her family and friends.
Katie Hallan, our Bar Manager and in-house Sommelier, discovered the wonderful world of wine about eight years ago when traveling throughout parts of the “Old World” – Italy, Germany, Spain, and France. She immediately fell in love with all the characteristics wine inhabits – the culture it embodies, the “variety of varietals”, and the conversational elements it brings to her life.
Katie has established herself within the “Cellar World” as someone to both trust and respect in her knowledge and love of wine. With our wide selection of wines by the glass and many more on the shelf, let Katie guide you as your personal sommelier with the necessary knowledge to help pick out the perfect wine for that special occasion! Katie is also in charge of the monthly Wine Club, Book Club, and currently teaches Wine 101 classes in house.
